The Vélez-Málaga City Council has joined the Spanish Network of Capitals of Culture, an initiative by FEMP aimed at enhancing culture as a driver of development.
The Vélez-Málaga City Council has taken a firm step in its commitment to culture by approving its membership in the Spanish Network of Capitals of Culture. The decision, made this Monday in the Local Government Board, places the Axarquía municipality on a platform of cooperation that brings together the cities most committed to the cultural sector in Spain.
The network, promoted by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), was created with the aim of strengthening the role of municipalities in the cultural field, promoting institutional coordination and the exchange of good practices. For Vélez-Málaga, being part of this select group represents a unique opportunity to share experiences with other cities and strengthen its national and international projection.
A network for cultural development
The Spanish Network of Capitals of Culture is not just a quality label. It is a direct collaboration tool with the Ministry of Culture and European institutions, which will allow Vélez-Málaga to access joint projects and common strategies.
