The Plaza de España hosted this Friday the Grand Gala for the Election of the Queen of the Nerja Fair 2026, one of the most anticipated events marking the start of the local festivities. The stage, themed like an airport, set the scene for the night.
The young Carla Moyano was proclaimed Queen of the Nerja Fair 2026. Ainhoa Stranieri received the title of First Lady and Noemí Álvarez was named Second Lady.
In other titles, Ariadna Casilla won the title of Sympathy and Social Media; Nadia Moreno was awarded Photogenic; Cayetana López received the title of Nerjeño Art, and Carla Moyano also added the title of Elegance.
The Deputy Mayor, Ángela Díaz, and the Councillor for Major Festivals, Elena Gálvez, accompanied by members of the Municipal Corporation, presented the sashes and crowns to the young women.
“You have all been the stars of a very special night, demonstrating enthusiasm, elegance, and excitement. We want to thank you for your participation and the affection with which you have engaged in each of the activities organized over the past few weeks,” Díaz stated.
The Deputy Mayor thanked all the individuals who contributed to the organization of the gala and the collaborating companies, and invited the people of Nerja, Mareño residents, and visitors to participate in the events of the Nerja Fair, which runs until 12 October.
The gala followed the speech by the Nerjeña artist Cynthia Martín.
