Villanueva del Rosario, Alameda, Cuevas Bajas, Ardales and Teba will host courses from the EnRuta programme of the Diputación de Málaga, which will provide training to 200 people across the province.
The Diputación de Málaga has launched the sixth edition of the EnRuta programme, an initiative aimed at improving the employability of unemployed individuals. This time, five municipalities in the Antequera region will host training activities over the coming months: Villanueva del Rosario, Alameda, Cuevas Bajas, Ardales and Teba.
The programme, which has a budget of 7 million euros co-financed by the Diputación and the European Social Fund Plus, aims to train around 200 people throughout the province. Registration for the courses closes this Wednesday, 22nd July.
Courses tailored to local demand
The training offer in the region has been designed based on the sectors with the highest labour demand. In Villanueva del Rosario, a course on auxiliary agricultural activities will be offered, while in Cuevas Bajas, the training will focus on electrical assistance. Meanwhile, Alameda will host a pathway centred on restaurant and bar service.
In Ardales, the course will specialise in the management and dynamisation of active tourism activities, taking advantage of the municipality's tourist potential. Finally, Teba will provide training in maintenance, one of the areas considered strategic within the programme.
Training with internships and scholarships
Each course will have 15 places and will combine specific training, job orientation, and professional internships. The pathways will last between 200 and 300 hours and will allow participants to obtain professional certificates. Additionally, individuals with lower incomes will have access to a financial scholarship for attendance.
The programme has already been implemented in other towns in the region such as Antequera, Villanueva de Tapia, Archidona, Fuente de Piedra, or Villanueva de Algaidas. The Diputación emphasises that EnRuta has proven to be an effective tool for labour insertion in rural areas.
For residents of these five municipalities, the initiative represents an opportunity to train without having to travel to large urban centres. The courses will be held in municipal facilities and the internships will take place in local companies, which favours subsequent hiring.
Interested individuals must register before Wednesday, 22nd July, through the Diputación's website. It is recommended to check the specific requirements for each course, as some require a minimum qualification. The Diputación reminds that places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
