Antequera, Fuente de Piedra, Villanueva del Trabuco, Sierra de Yeguas and Archidona will install giant screens this Sunday, July 19th at 21:00 to follow the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina.
The Paseo Real in Antequera will become the epicentre of football in the region this Sunday. The Family Days Festival, which has been animating the city for days, will set up two giant screens so that fans do not miss a detail of the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina. Access will be free and the venue will open from 20:00 to 00:00.
The event will kick off with a pre-match atmosphere from eight in the evening. In addition to the screens, the festival will feature 12 food trucks so attendees can have dinner while enjoying the match. The Antequera City Council has organised everything to ensure a complete experience: music, entertainment, and above all, football.
Screens across the region
The World Cup fever is not limited to the city. In Fuente de Piedra, the City Council has prepared a fan zone with a giant LED screen and music provided by DJ Ramoned. The exact location will be announced in the coming days, but the event is set for 21:00.
In Villanueva del Trabuco, the Plaza de la Libertad will host the broadcast from 21:00. The local Madridista Peña will set up a bar for the occasion, and Trabuco Televisión will provide its cable television for the projection. An initiative that demonstrates the involvement of local associations.
Sierra de Yeguas will also join in with a giant screen in the Plaza de Andalucía. The venue will open at 20:00 for the pre-match, with ambient music before the kick-off. The City Council wants residents to experience the final in a festive and community atmosphere.
Meanwhile, Archidona joins the regional initiative and will follow the final at the same time, 21:00, although the exact location has yet to be confirmed. It is expected that the City Council will provide more details in the coming hours.
A festival culminating with the World Cup
The Family Days Festival began on Wednesday, July 15th with the children's show Family Dance: The Awakening and the concert Superhits in Spanish. On Thursday, July 16th, it was the turn of the Generations Afternoon, the K-Pop Experience Phenomenon, and a tribute to Estopa. On Friday, July 17th, the Retro-Family Show, the Disney Musical Wishes Gala, and a tribute to Fito & Fitipaldis filled the Paseo Real. On Saturday, July 18th, the Vermú Dance, the Viral Kids Experience, and a tribute to Héroes del Silencio provided the soundtrack.
This Sunday, the grand finale is the World Cup final. The organisers wanted this football event to be the highlight of a week of activities for all audiences. And for the people of Antequera, the occasion deserves it: Spain is fighting for the world title against Argentina, and the region is preparing to vibrate.
If you prefer to experience the match in company, don't hesitate: the Paseo Real in Antequera or the squares of the municipalities in the region are your best option. Just make sure to arrive early to secure a spot. Entry is free, but the atmosphere promises to be unforgettable.
