Students registered in Torremolinos who are pursuing university or vocational training studies outside the municipality can now apply for transport assistance. The application period opens this Thursday, 24 September, and will remain active until 22 October, as reported by the Education delegation of the Town Hall.
The call has an initial budget of 63,000 euros, which can be increased without the need for a new call, and each beneficiary will receive 300 euros to cover travel expenses. The grant is incompatible with other assistance granted for the same purpose by other public or private administrations or entities.
Students registered in Torremolinos for at least one year prior to the publication of the call and aged no more than 30 years can apply. They must be enrolled in at least 50% of a full-time university course (bachelor's or official master's) or full-time vocational training at intermediate or higher level, in public, concerted or private centres in Andalusia located outside Torremolinos. It is required that these studies are not offered in the municipality or that a place has not been obtained due to admission criteria. Additionally, the family unit's income for 2025 must be below the limits established according to the number of members.
Applications can be submitted online via the Electronic Headquarters or in person at the Education delegation of the Torremolinos Town Hall, located in the Isabel Manoja Community Development Centre, or at any of the registries and offices provided for in the regulations.
Along with the application, a photocopy of the family book, DNI or NIE, income declaration for 2025, enrolment for the 2026/2027 course, bank account certificate, and certificates proving compliance with tax obligations and Social Security must be attached.
The necessary documentation and detailed information are available on the Transparency Portal of the municipal website, in the section 'Public Grants and Aid', from the opening of the application period.
