The Almerian forward Antonio Jesús 'Pito' Camacho, 36, joins Marbella FC after a season at Juventud Torremolinos, where he was the top scorer with nine goals.
Marbella FC has finalised the signing of Antonio Jesús 'Pito' Camacho Díaz, a 36-year-old forward from Gádor (Almería), who arrives from Juventud Torremolinos. The attacker, who was the top scorer for the Torremolinos team last season with nine goals, has signed a one-year contract with the Marbella club.
Pito Camacho, as he is known in the football world, has an extensive career with over 450 official matches and nearly 200 goals. His career began in the youth categories of his hometown, Gádor, before moving to Venta del Pobre and making his debut in the Third Division with Comarca de Níjar. He later played for Real Ávila and SD Leoia.
He made the leap to the third tier of Spanish football with CD Izarra, where he played over a hundred matches and scored 44 goals in three seasons. His next destination was CD Mirandés, where he became league champion of group II of Segunda B in the 2017/18 season, with 32 matches and seven goals. The following season, he participated in the promotion phase to LaLiga Hypermotion, achieving promotion to the second division.
After his time at Mirandés, the forward moved to Real Balompédica Linense, where he recorded fifteen goals in two campaigns. Later, he achieved promotion from Segunda Federación to Primera RFEF with AD Ceuta in the 2021/22 season, scoring eleven goals in an outstanding year. After two seasons in North African lands, he joined UCAM Murcia and later Zamora CF, with whom he achieved another promotion to Primera Federación in 2024.
The new striker of Marbella FC arrives with the aim of achieving another promotion to the third tier. His experience and goal-scoring instinct will be key for the team he will lead next season in group IV of Segunda Federación. The Marbella fans hope that Pito Camacho will replicate the hunger he showed at Juventud Torremolinos, where he was a key player for the team's survival.
With this signing, Marbella FC strengthens its attack for the upcoming campaign, aiming to compete for the top positions in the table. The player, who was trained in the youth system of his hometown, arrives with the hope of contributing his experience and goals to a club that aspires to grow.
