The Catalan company Spa 4 Hotels lands on the Costa del Sol with the simultaneous opening of three wellness centres in five-star hotels in Marbella and Estepona.

Spa 4 Hotels, a company specialised in managing wellness spaces in luxury hotels, has launched three new spas on the Costa del Sol. The facilities are located in the Grand Hotel Las Dunas, the Hotel Mett Marbella–Estepona, and the Barceló Marbella. With this operation, the firm becomes the first external operator specialised in luxury spas in the province of Málaga.

A strategic destination for high-level wellness

The choice of Marbella is not coincidental. The city has a high concentration of five-star and Gran Lujo hotels and attracts an international clientele with high purchasing power. According to the CEO of Spa 4 Hotels, J. Ramon Alandí, the locality represents "the natural step" in the company's expansion due to the profile of visitors demanding premium wellness services.

The company, based in Barcelona, already manages wellness spaces in eight five-star hotels in Barcelona and Madrid. The arrival in Marbella marks its first major leap outside the capitals and reinforces its commitment to luxury holiday destinations.

Three brands for three customer profiles

Each spa corresponds to a different brand and concept. Elysium Luxury Wellness has been established in the Hotel Mett Marbella–Estepona 5 GL, with an offering aimed at the most exclusive segment. It features a heated pool, six treatment rooms, and personalised programmes, such as the two-day Mett Signature Retreat ritual.

Meanwhile, Serena Spa Collection opens in the Grand Hotel Las Dunas – Autograph Collection by Marriott, right on the beachfront of Estepona. Its proposal is based on hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, and treatments using Mediterranean ingredients. Star services include the Serenity massage and experiences in a private suite.

The third opening corresponds to Serena Spa Traveller, located in the Barceló Marbella, next to the Guadalmina golf course. This line is designed for both tourists and residents seeking accessible wellness with premium standards.

Growth and economic forecasts

Spa 4 Hotels expects to achieve a turnover of two million euros by 2027. The company is already working on new openings in Madrid and the Canary Islands and maintains alliances with premium segment companies, such as the Racquet Club Villa Padierna, in the Costa del Sol itself, and Quadis Land Motors, the official distributor of Range Rover in Barcelona.

For residents of the province of Málaga, the arrival of these spas offers an additional high-end wellness option without the need to travel to the major capitals. The three centres are already operational and offer day services, ideal for a relaxing getaway without overnight stays.

With this expansion, Marbella consolidates its position as a luxury destination in southern Europe, and wellness lovers have three new reasons to indulge themselves. Perhaps the hardest choice will be between a Serenity massage with views of the Mediterranean or a two-day retreat at the Mett. Fortunately, the competition among the three spas promises to keep standards high.
