The American band, named the best of the 21st century by Billboard, performed for the first time in Marbella at the Starlite Occident festival, with a repertoire of greatest hits.
Maroon 5 stepped onto a stage in Marbella for the first time. The band led by Adam Levine, which recently sold out Madison Square Garden in New York and has upcoming dates in Mexico City, Lima, and Salvador, chose the Starlite Occident festival to offer a boutique concert under the stars at the Nagüeles Quarry.
A Night of Closeness and Great Hits
The American group, which has sold over 750 million singles and has 33 songs on the Billboard Hot 100, showcased a repertoire that combined timeless anthems like 'Sugar', 'She Will Be Loved', 'Moves Like Jagger', and 'Girls Like You' with tracks from their latest album, 'Love Is Like', released last year. The distance between the stage and the audience completely dissolved, something only a venue like Starlite Occident allows.
Adam Levine, visibly moved, addressed the audience at the end of the concert:
“It’s incredible to come from so far and feel all the love you’ve given us tonight. Starlite is a truly unique place. The energy, the closeness of the audience, and this special environment make it a hard experience to describe. Thank you for welcoming us and for making us feel at home. It has been an unforgettable night.”
Stars Among the Audience
Among the attendees was international model Behati Prinsloo, a Victoria's Secret angel and Adam Levine's wife, who enjoyed the concert from the Presidential Box alongside their daughters. She was joined by Starlite founder Sandra García-Sanjuán, sisters Barbara and Nicole Kimpel, Mexican artist and muralist Bibiana Domit, and model Estefanía Luyk.
Members of Grupo Frontera were also present, having performed on the same stage just hours earlier.
“Now we understand why so many artists want to come here. Starlite is unique; we want to come back every year,”they commented after the concert in the party area, where the band extended the experience with friends and guests.
The Starlite Occident Stamp
Maroon 5's appearance at Starlite Occident confirms the philosophy with which Sandra García-Sanjuán conceived the festival fifteen years ago: not to be the biggest, but the most special. In its 15th anniversary, Starlite Occident shows that even bands used to filling stadiums find the most intimate night of their careers in Marbella.
For the local audience, this concert represents a unique opportunity to see one of the most successful bands of the 21st century in a privileged setting, just a few kilometers from home. Starlite Occident continues its summer programming, with upcoming concerts that maintain the commitment to world-class artists.
