The Marbella TodoDanza Festival celebrates its 17th edition from October 3 to November 6 with 14 companies at the Teatro Ciudad de Marbella, the Museo del Grabado, and the paseo de la Alameda. The image of the poster is dedicated to Antonio El Bailarín.
The Marbella TodoDanza Festival will celebrate its 17th edition with the participation of 14 companies performing at three venues in the municipality between October 3 and November 6. The General Director of Culture, Carmen Díaz, presented the programme at the Hospital Real de la Misericordia, as reported by Diario Sur.
The venues will be the Teatro Ciudad de Marbella, the Museo del Grabado Español Contemporáneo, and the paseo de la Alameda. Díaz recalled that the festival was born to bring dance closer to the public and noted that Marbella is one of the few cities in Spain that maintains an event of this nature.

The image for this edition is dedicated to Antonio El Bailarín and the poster is the work of local artist GerMan, who places the dancer on the playa del Rodeo, in front of what was his home. This figure will be present throughout the entire programme.
The festival will raise the curtain on October 3 at the Teatro with the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía, directed by Patricia Guerrero. The same venue will host 'Afines', by Marcat Dance (October 9); 'La gata que quería cambiar la historia', by Thomas Noone Dance (11th); 'Los Bailes Robados', by the David Coria company and Talía Award 2024 (17th), and 'Marea Weekend', by Chey Jurado (October 24). The closing will be on November 6 with 'Calentamiento', by Málaga artist Rocío Molina.
The 'Bailarle a la paz' cycle will take dance to the streets with a double event on October 4 at the paseo de la Alameda, where 'Unarys', by the Eszer company, and 'Juan Caballo', by the Juan Berlanga group, will be performed.
The Museo del Grabado Español Contemporáneo will host the 'Movimiento y Abstracción' programme, which will kick off on October 8 with 'Para Antonio', by Juan de Juan. It will continue on the 14th with 'Picassa', by the Lorena Nogal company, National Dance Award 2024, and 'Cuerpo Raíz', by Rebeca Ortega. On October 22, it will be the turn of 'AntonioAntonioAntonio', by the Carlos Carvento company, and the programme will close on the 29th with 'Cuerpo Sordo', by José Manuel Benítez, Ana Almagro, and Hsueh Yuhsien.
The programme will be completed on October 7, at 18:00, with the screening at the Instituto Río Verde of the documentary 'Antonio, El Bailarín de España'. The festival will also include two training activities: a 'workshop' led by Chey Jurado and a 'master class' in Spanish dance by Ana Almagro and José Manuel Benítez.
