Marbella hosts the seventh event of the Andalusian Junior Padel Circuit from September 11 to 13, with 300 young players from across Spain.

Marbella hosts the seventh event of the Andalusian Junior Circuit from September 11 to 13, with around 300 players from across Spain. The venues will be the Club El Mirador and the municipal facilities Francisco Norte and Paco Cantos.

Marbella will once again be the epicentre of grassroots padel with the seventh event of the Andalusian Junior Circuit, bringing together nearly 300 young athletes from across Spain from September 11 to 13. According to Diario Sur, this event is part of the regional and national rankings.

The Councillor for Sports, Lisandro Vieytes, highlighted that the city is hosting this event for the fourth time and noted that it coincides with an important sports weekend in Marbella, with the passing of the Vuelta Ciclista a España through San Pedro Alcántara and the basketball match between Real Madrid and La Laguna Tenerife at the Sergio Scariolo Pavilion.

The competition will take place at the Club El Mirador and the municipal facilities Francisco Norte and Paco Cantos. The first matches will begin on Friday, September 11 at 17:00, the activity will continue on Saturday, and the finals will be played on Sunday at El Mirador.

The president of the Andalusian Padel Federation, José Pérez, explained that this will be the fourth consecutive occasion this year that the federation holds an event in the city. "Three hundred players with their 600 parents and more companions can reach a thousand people at the event," he indicated, adding that the participants will be aged between 7 and 18 years.

"Many of the players in the higher categories are already on the brink of professionalism," Pérez noted.

The representative of the Club El Mirador, Diego Lozano, expressed his satisfaction at hosting the event again and recalled that players who have gone through these competitions have later reached the elite. "It is a circuit where we always have to invest and collaborate," he stated.

The Marbella event is the seventh of the eight that make up the circuit, which will conclude in Córdoba and have its final master in Jaén.
