The organisation of the Premios Juventud reveals on social media the first awardees of its first European edition, taking place at the Cantera de Nagüeles within Starlite Marbella.
The first European edition of the Premios Juventud, which is taking place tonight at the Cantera de Nagüeles as part of the Starlite Marbella festival, already has its first awardees. The organisation unexpectedly announced a list of winners in categories such as collaboration of the year and best tropical song on its social media early this afternoon, featuring names like Shakira, Romeo Santos and Carín León, according to Diario Sur.
The Colombian Shakira along with Nigerian Burna Boy opened the awards by winning the OMG Collaboration award for their song 'Dai Dai', the official song of the FIFA World Cup 2026. In the best cumbia song category, the award went to 'Con otra' by Cazzu, while the best collaboration in Mexican music was awarded to Grupo Firme and Grupo Frontera for 'Modo difícil'.
The Tropical Hit award went to the bachata 'Dardos' by Romeo Santos, alongside Prince Royce, and the Latino Afrobeat of the Year went to Ozuna, Beéle and Ovy on the Drums for 'Enemigos'. The Mexican Carín León, one of the favourites of the night with nine nominations, has already won the first award alongside Alejandro Fernández with 'Me está doliendo', which was chosen as 'My favourite track' ahead of candidates like Rauw Alejandro, Karol G and Marco Antonio Solís, or Rosalía with Yahritza and Su Esencia.
The gala, hosted by Jesús Vázquez, Alejandra Espinoza and Clarissa Molina, will be broadcast to 20 countries. In Spain, it will be shown on La 2 de TVE and will feature live performances by Marc Anthony, Quevedo, Morat, Manuel Carrasco, La Oreja de Van Gogh, Camilo, Wisin and Yandel, Juan Magán and the Malagueña Ana Mena.
