The municipality has recognised a dozen young people this Friday for their academic excellence, entrepreneurship, sports, culture, environment, and social participation.
The Central Library Fernando Alcalá Marín in Marbella hosted today the fourth edition of the Young Talent Gala, which distinguished ten individuals linked to academic excellence, entrepreneurship, sports, culture, the environment, and social participation. Among the awardees are Leticia Fernández Bautista, for achieving the highest score in Andalucía in the PAU 2026; Vicemapping, a company specialising in videomapping and immersive visual experiences; Cantera Salesiana, for its 18 years of work with children and young people; the brothers Juan de Dios and Pedro de la Fuente Belinchón, for their achievements in fencing; Miguel Zamora Borrachero, for his musical outreach; The Artist Dance, for their activities in dance and solidarity; Rocío Elaine de la Cruz, for her football career with the Under-18 and Under-17 teams; José Alfonso Rubio, for his environmental awareness initiatives; and the Grupo Joven de la Hermandad del Rocío de Marbella, for their commitment to youth and traditions.
The mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, stated that youth “is not only the future of a city but also its present,” and assured that the City Council will continue to support their paths. During the event, she encouraged young people to “try, to make mistakes, to change their minds, or to start anew,” and emphasised the importance of the municipality “continuing to offer them opportunities to study, create, and undertake.”
The councillor for the area, Alejandro González, explained that the gala was created to highlight the young talent of Marbella and to give visibility to their abilities. He stressed the diversity of the awarded profiles and that youth “should get to know each other and discover other role models from their own city.”
