Residents of Los Boliches and visitors have an unmissable date from July 15 to 19: the 2026 Feria del Carmen, which this year features a stellar musical lineup with names like Melody, Joana Jiménez, Miguel Campello 'El Bicho', María Carrasco and Juanlu Montoya. The deputy mayor of the neighbourhood, Rosa Ana Bravo, presented the programme on Monday alongside the Councillor for Festivals, Isabel Moreno, highlighting that popular traditions and religious events in honour of the Virgen del Carmen are being maintained.
Concerts for all tastes at the Fairgrounds
The official opening will be on Wednesday, July 15 at 21:30 at the entrance of the Fairgrounds. The mayor, Ana Mula, will raise the flag to the tune of the National Anthem performed by the Municipal Music Band. Following this, at 22:00, the music will kick off with Lorenzo, and at 23:00 the main act will be the concert by Melody. The night will close with La Gramola at 00:15.
Thursday, July 16, the feast day of the Virgen del Carmen, has been reserved for 'Youth Night', featuring performances by CGZ and Adri O at 22:00, G Alessandro at 23:30, and a Battle of Roosters at 01:00. This plan is designed to ensure that the younger audience also has their space.
Friday, July 17 is Children's Day, with attractions at 50% of their usual price. In the morning, children will enjoy a kids' party with a theatre performance by Peladilla Producciones. Later that night, the Juani Guerrero Dance Academy will perform at 21:30, Joana Jiménez at 22:30, and Sueño Marismeño at 00:15.
On Saturday, July 18, the main stage will host the Chassé Dance Academy at 21:30, Cante y Calle at 22:30, María Carrasco at 23:30, and Juanlu Montoya at 00:45. Finally, on Sunday, July 19, the grand finale will feature La Seño at 21:30, Miguel Campello 'El Bicho' at 22:30, and Los Kalima at 00:15.
Maritime tradition and religious fervour
On Thursday, July 16, at 12:00, a solemn mass will be held at the parish of Carmen and Santa Fe in Los Boliches. However, the most awaited moment will arrive at 20:45 with the processional outing of the Virgen del Carmen. The statue will follow its usual route to the Estrella de los Mares square and will enter the sea, carried by its fishermen, to bless the waters. At 22:00, the T pier will be the stage for the traditional fireworks display. The procession will return to the temple around 1:30.
As a prelude, on July 11 at 08:00, the Tirada del copo will take place in the boatyard area, a recreation of the traditional fishing art that pays tribute to the maritime roots of the neighbourhood. On July 13, at 21:00, the Estrella de los Mares square will host the tribute to the Bolicheros of the year, featuring a performance by María Carrasco.
The Feria del Carmen in Los Boliches is one of the most significant summer events in Fuengirola. It combines music, devotion, and tradition in a family-friendly atmosphere.
