Estepona City Council allocates 102,000 euros for the refurbishment of the Padre Manuel Cultural Centre, which includes new flooring and 150 seats for the auditorium.
The City Council of Estepona has initiated an improvement project at the Padre Manuel Cultural Centre, one of the main cultural facilities in the municipality. The work, which will involve an investment of 102,000 euros, includes the renovation of flooring in various areas and the installation of 150 new seats in the auditorium.
The councillor responsible for the Culture and Festivals area, Macarena Dianez, explained that the intervention is necessary to update facilities that host the Municipal Library, municipal cultural schools, the Film Club, and numerous activities throughout the year.
The new vinyl flooring will be installed in the entrance, hallways, press room, and auditorium, with work including priming, gluing, joint welding, and transition elements. The seats, designed for intensive use, will be ergonomic, fire-resistant, and have foldable seats, meeting universal accessibility criteria.
This action adds to a previous one carried out under the municipal energy efficiency plan, which involved an investment of 122,477 euros and allowed for the replacement of lighting with LED technology, installation of presence detectors, and placement of photovoltaic panels, with an estimated annual savings of 13,000 euros in energy costs.
