The State Meteorological Agency has activated the yellow alert for maximum temperatures in the province of Málaga, but Estepona is not included in the warning. The mercury will reach 32 degrees and morning fog will give way to little cloud cover.

The coastal municipality of Estepona is not included in the yellow alert for high temperatures that AEMET has declared for this Wednesday in the interior of the province of Málaga. While other localities will suffer peaks of intense heat, on the Estepona coast the thermometer will register a maximum of 32 degrees, far from the risk thresholds.

Morning fog and sun at noon

According to the forecast from the State Meteorological Agency, the day will start with clear skies during the early hours, but from 06:00 hours fog will form, reducing visibility in the early morning hours. This fog will give way to little cloud cover by mid-morning, and it is expected to reappear around 18:00 hours, just before sunset.

The minimum temperature will be around 23 degrees, meaning the nights will remain warm. The wind will blow lightly from the south, providing a slight sea breeze that will relieve the heat during the central hours of the day.

Thursday and Friday: temperature rise towards 36 degrees

On Thursday, the trend will change slightly. AEMET forecasts a day with little cloud cover from the early hours, although the cloudiness will evolve and tend to disappear after 12:00 hours. The maximum temperature will rise to 36 degrees, while the minimum will remain stable around 23 degrees. Winds will be light from the southwest.

Friday is expected to be precipitation-free. The day will begin with a mostly clear outlook that will lead to completely clear skies during the second half of the day. The maximum will again exceed 36 degrees, and the minimum will hardly vary. The wind, light from the southwest, will not provide significant relief.

Weekend: stability and moderate heat on the coast

On Saturday, the skies will be mostly clear, with a maximum of 32 degrees and a minimum of 21. On Sunday, the sun will shine without clouds, with temperatures between 34 and 20 degrees. The wind will blow lightly from the south, maintaining pleasant conditions for enjoying the beach or terraces.

For Estepona residents, the absence of a yellow alert provides a respite from the heatwaves affecting the interior. However, AEMET recommends staying hydrated and avoiding sun exposure during the central hours of the day, especially in light of the temperature rise expected for Thursday and Friday. The data is provisional and will be updated in the coming hours according to the evolution of the weather.
