Thursday's ONCE draw has left a prize of 500,000 euros in Estepona, the largest of the day. The seller, Rosario Tornay, sold the coupon on Avenida Juan Carlos I.

Luck has smiled on Estepona. The ONCE draw held this Thursday has awarded a prize of 500,000 euros in the Málaga town, thanks to a single winning coupon with the correct five digits and series. This is the largest prize distributed in this draw.

The seller, key to the distribution

The lucky seller is Rosario Tornay, who sold the winning ticket from her point of sale on Avenida Juan Carlos I. Tornay, who has worked for ONCE since 2018, expressed her surprise: "Last night I thought the number sounded familiar, but I didn't think it could win the prize. I still can't believe it, I need to know who won it."

The seller showed her joy at distributing a prize among her regular customers. "It has been incredible luck, I hope they enjoy the prize as much as I enjoy giving it. The people are part of my daily life, and when you give a prize to one of them, you really feel it as your own," she said, wishing to celebrate the news with the winner.

Other prizes from the draw

The draw on July 2, dedicated to Alameda Cervantes de Soria, also distributed prizes of 35,000 euros in Huelva, Siles (Jaén), and Fuengirola, while the rest of the prizes went to the Canary Islands. For the residents of Estepona, this prize is a reason for joy and a reminder that luck can be just around the corner.

Social and responsible lottery

ONCE has reminded that its coupons are part of its offer of social, responsible, and solidarity lottery, with measures aimed at promoting responsible gaming and preventing access by minors or credit consumption. The lucky winner in Estepona must go to the ONCE offices to claim the prize, which is subject to current tax regulations.

Meanwhile, the mystery surrounding the identity of the winner remains in the air. Will it be a local resident or a tourist? What is clear is that the coupon sold on Avenida Juan Carlos I has changed someone's life forever.
