The Town Hall of Casares has begun the concreting of the second section of the pedestrian path of the Papudo road, with over 650 metres and an investment of €70,000.
The Town Hall of Casares started this morning the concreting works of the second section of the pedestrian path of the Papudo road, an action that will complete the improvement of this peri-urban route widely used by residents for walking, exercising, and enjoying the outdoors. The mayor, Juan Luis Villalón, visited the area accompanied by councillors Noelia Rodríguez and José Cervera.
The intervention takes place over a section of more than 650 linear metres and continues from the first phase, executed approximately a year ago. The works are expected to last a month, during which this part of the path will remain closed to users.
The action includes the replacement of the old earth surface with deactivated concrete, a more durable, non-slip, and rain-resistant material. The aim is to improve safety and usability of the path throughout the year.
This second phase has a municipal investment of over €70,000 and aims to consolidate the path as a suitable space for walking, sports practice, and outdoor leisure.
Residents of Casares who regularly use this route should take into account the temporary closure over the coming weeks until the works are completed.
