The Polish tuner Carlex Design transforms a Mercedes AMG G63 into a unique piece valued at three million euros, with a handcrafted roof that took over 3,000 hours to create and is covered with three kilos of diamond dust.
The Polish tuner Carlex Design has unveiled the Stallion, a one-off based on the Mercedes AMG G63 estimated to be worth three million euros. According to Diario Sur, this piece has become a showcase of craftsmanship involving designers, metalworkers, upholsterers, painters, and artisans from various disciplines.
The work focused on the roof, an area that usually goes unnoticed. The structure began from a flat sheet of aluminium that was hand-moulded, without resorting to prefabricated shapes. Just the preparation of that base took approximately two months, and the entire piece accumulated over 3,000 hours of work.
The result features hand-engraved reliefs and the marks left by the tools. The intention was not to achieve a perfect surface, but to make the marks of the process visible so that the manufacturing method can be appreciated. The metal received several finishes: silver is combined with a dark patina and pale gold details that define the shape. On this surface, three kilos of diamond dust were applied.
The design of the roof is inspired by the silhouette of an Arabian horse, reflecting its movement and balance. The inspiration was Pogrom, one of the most distinguished stallions from the Janów Podlaski stud, a centre with over two centuries of tradition in breeding Arabian horses.
The interior is upholstered in leather dyed in a burgundy tone, contrasting with the metallic details. Among the elements in the cabin is a plaque with the vehicle's name and the inscription 'one of one', certifying that it has been handcrafted.
