The UNED campus in Ronda has begun the enrolment period for the 2026-2027 academic year, which will be open from this July until October. The municipal delegate for Universities, Margarita Pavía, announced the opening, highlighting the role of the Ronda campus as a reference for university education in the region.
Three educational options for different profiles
The educational offer from UNED in Ronda includes three training pathways. The first is the access course for those over 25, a route that allows those without a university qualification to access higher studies and also facilitates preparation for competitive exams and access to certain jobs. The second option is the course for those over 45, specifically aimed at accessing university through UNED.
The third and most innovative is the degree in Early Childhood Education, which was introduced last year with excellent reception. As Pavía explained, this qualification is especially designed for those who have completed the Higher Vocational Training cycle in Early Childhood Education, as it allows for the recognition of a significant number of subjects, shortening the duration of studies.
Face-to-face tutorials in Ronda and online support
One of the advantages of the UNED campus in Ronda is that it combines the flexibility of distance learning with face-to-face support. Tutorials are held once a week at the San Francisco Civic Centre, led by specialised faculty. In addition, students can follow classes online, making it easier to balance work and family life.
The delegate emphasised that this mode prevents students from having to travel to other cities to continue their university education, a key factor in a region like the Serranía de Ronda, where distances and transport connections are not always the most efficient. “It is an opportunity for those who, for work, family or personal reasons, cannot attend face-to-face classes at a conventional university,” Pavía noted.
