Ronda Moves Sports Offices to New Bus Station

The Ronda City Council relocates the Municipal Sports Area offices to the new El Fuerte bus station, enhancing facilities for over 5,000 users.

The Ronda City Council has relocated the offices of the Municipal Sports Area to the new El Fuerte bus station, improving facilities for workers and users.

The offices of the Municipal Sports Area of Ronda are no longer where they used to be. The City Council has moved them to a space in the new bus station, located in the El Fuerte area, which is now completed. The mayor, Mari Paz Fernández, visited the new premises to check the results of the move.

Until now, the previous facilities were also in the same area, but they had deficiencies that affected both the employees of the department and the users of sports activities. With the change, the aim is to offer a more dignified and efficient service.

The new offices are located on the ground floor of the station, next to the platforms and opposite the Adolfo Suárez Regional Library. Access is direct from the main entrance of the infrastructure. The public service hours remain from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

During the visit, the mayor highlighted that the decision to install the offices there responds to the government team's commitment to sports and the overall improvement of the service. “We have decided to set up these offices here, where the workers of the Municipal Sports Area can assist users who wish to do so,” Fernández stated.

The Municipal Sports Area of Ronda currently has over 5,000 permanent users and an average of more than 35 workers, including permanent and temporary staff. The move does not affect the scheduled sports activities, which continue as normal.

The new bus station, in addition to the Sports offices, will house several commercial premises that are still pending allocation. The building is completely finished, but the total commissioning is contingent on the completion of the works being carried out by Adif to create a new footbridge on Dolores Ibárruri street. These works are well advanced, and once completed, they will allow direct pedestrian access to the station from that street.

Users of the sports service can now visit the new offices to carry out procedures such as registrations, renewals, or inquiries. The City Council hopes that the change will enhance the experience for both employees and citizens.
