The Ronda City Council has launched a new campaign to promote responsible pet adoption. The initiative was presented by municipal delegate for the Environment, Jorge Fernández, and aims to facilitate the process for rescued or abandoned animals to find a new family.
Currently, nearly 50 animals are housed in the municipal facilities awaiting adoption, where they receive the necessary care while the process is completed. The campaign includes a QR code on the poster that allows access to a webpage with information about each pet: age, breed, photographs, and main characteristics.
The Environment delegate has encouraged those considering adding a pet to their home, especially with the holiday season approaching, to consider adoption. The process includes support and advice to ensure each animal finds the most suitable family.
“Responsible adoption is the best alternative for these animals, and the City Council offers all the facilities to help them find a home,” stated Jorge Fernández.
Interested individuals can check the available animals through the website adoptesumascota.es/ronda/ or by scanning the QR code on the poster. They can also call the contact numbers listed on the poster to resolve any questions about the process.
The Environment Area is calling on citizens to get to know these animals and offer them a second chance through responsible adoption.
