The City Council of Ronda supports the futsal tournament organised by the Galmax GT team, made up of students from IES Rodríguez Delgado, to raise funds for their trip to the Steam Racing World Final in Singapore.
The Ronda team Galmax GT, composed of students from IES Rodríguez Delgado, has organised a charity futsal tournament to fund their participation in the international final of Steam Racing, which will take place this autumn in Singapore. The event will be held on Friday, July 31 at 19:00 at the El Fuerte sports centre in Ronda.
The municipal delegate for Sports, Bernardo Crespo, has shown the City Council's support for this initiative and highlighted the pride it brings to the city to have a group of young people who have managed to position themselves among the best in the world in an educational competition that combines innovation, technology, and teamwork. Crespo has encouraged the public to participate in this sporting and charitable event.
The tournament will take place in the evening to facilitate attendance for players and spectators, and there will be a bar service throughout the day. The organisation has planned prizes of 300, 150, and 75 euros for the top three teams, as well as trophies and individual awards for the best player, best goalkeeper, top scorer, and top assistant.
The competition will start with a league phase that guarantees several matches for each team before the knockout rounds. The registration fee is 75 euros per team and can be formalised through the Instagram profile @galmaxgt or by calling 659 45 04 10.
Galmax GT has thanked the support of the City Council of Ronda and has called on businesses, groups, and residents to collaborate with a project that will allow these young people to represent Ronda and Spain in one of the most prominent international competitions for educational innovation.
The Ronda team has qualified for the Steam Racing World Final, a competition that challenges students to develop innovative technological projects. The proceeds from the tournament will be key to covering travel and accommodation expenses in Singapore, where they will compete against teams from other countries.
