The third edition of Flash Moda brings together five young Andalusian designers tonight in the Los Villares neighbourhood, showcasing inclusive flamenco fashion and proposals for all body types.
The municipality of Villanueva del Trabuco becomes the epicentre of Andalusian fashion tonight with the celebration of the third edition of Flash Moda. The event, which will take place in the Callejón Ancho of the emblematic Los Villares neighbourhood, will kick off at 21:00 and will feature the participation of five young designers from various parts of Andalusia.
Inclusive flamenco fashion that breaks traditional norms
This evening's runway will focus on flamenco fashion, but not the conventional kind. The designers will present original and exclusive proposals, breaking away from the typical fair and pilgrimage outfits. According to the Villanueva del Trabuco Town Hall, the initiative aims to bring fashion closer to “real people”, with different sizes and physiques, moving away from the standard of runway models.
The event serves as a showcase for new Andalusian talents, among whom Gonzalo, a young boy from Cártama under 10 years old, stands out. Despite the challenges in the sector, especially for men, his participation demonstrates that with perseverance and effort, one can carve a path in fashion.
“Fashion is a difficult and competitive sector, but it is possible to find a place with perseverance, effort, and work,” noted local designer Cristian Padilla, who is in charge of the preparations alongside the Town Hall.
A stage with local flavour and a neighbourhood atmosphere
The Los Villares neighbourhood, in the historic centre of the municipality, has been chosen as the setting to roll out the red carpet. The Callejón Ancho, with its traditional charm, will welcome locals and visitors who can enjoy the creations on the runway. Additionally, during the event, there will be a bar service provided by the Divina Pastora Association of the locality, adding a festive and supportive touch to the evening.
For attendees, this event represents a unique opportunity to see author fashion in a close and accessible environment. The Town Hall has encouraged all local residents to come and support the emerging designers.
Boosting young talent and the local economy
Flash Moda is not only a cultural event but also a driver for the local economy. The initiative, now in its third edition, aims to establish Villanueva del Trabuco as a benchmark for inclusive fashion in the province of Málaga. Local designer Cristian Padilla, known for his participation in television programmes, has been the driving force behind the project alongside the Town Hall.
This evening's event promises to be a showcase of creativity and diversity, where flamenco fashion is reinvented for all audiences. Those who attend will be able to see live how the designers express their vision on the runway, in an atmosphere that blends tradition and avant-garde.
The event starts at 21:00 in the Callejón Ancho of the Los Villares neighbourhood, with free entry. The organisers recommend arriving early to enjoy the parade and the festive atmosphere surrounding this fashion event.
