The fairgrounds at the Cortijo de Torres are speeding up preparations for the start of the Málaga Fair, which kicks off this Saturday, August 15. Workers are racing against the clock to have the attractions, food stalls, and security services ready.

The Cortijo de Torres is finalising preparations for the Málaga Fair 2026, which will begin next Saturday, August 15. Dozens of workers are toiling under the sun to set up the attractions, while food stalls and mobile establishments are already installed in the area.

The fair, which will run until August 22, expects the arrival of thousands of visitors each day. According to data from the sector, the average spend per person will be around 77 euros, a figure that includes attractions, dining, and other services.

Among the attractions being set up are the classic bumper cars, carousels, and Ferris wheels, alongside other less common offerings aimed at surprising the public. The fair workers consulted express their eagerness for the start of the festivities, despite the effort involved in the setup.

One worker explained that the reward for all the hard work is seeing both young and old enjoy themselves. "Many people ride each day; we can't give an exact figure," he noted, referring to the expected turnout throughout the week.

In addition to the attractions, the dining area is already operational to serve attendees. Stalls selling plush toys, soft drinks, and sweets will also be available from day one, completing the entertainment offerings at the venue.

Regarding security, the councillor for Operational Services, Beaches, and Youth, Teresa Porras, confirmed on Monday that the area will have medical assistants, Civil Protection, Local Police, National Police, and Firefighters. There will also be a lost property service throughout the fair.

With the venue nearly ready, locals and visitors will be able to enjoy a week of lights, music, and tradition at the Cortijo de Torres starting Saturday. The fair will remain open until August 22, with morning and afternoon hours for all audiences.
