The Real del Cortijo de Torres will host around a hundred attractions and 234 leisure and food facilities. Additionally, 37 street vendor stalls have been authorised in the Historic Centre, and it is expected that around 1,400 people will work during the Fair.
The Málaga Fair of 2026, which will kick off on August 14, already has concrete figures for its deployment. The Real del Cortijo de Torres will feature 98 attractions –49 for adults and 49 for children– and a total of 234 leisure and food facilities, as reported by the Málaga City Council.
Of those 234 facilities, 179 will be dedicated to food sales, such as hamburgers, pizzas, doughnuts, waffles, baked potatoes, nougat, cotton candy, corn on the cob, or chocolate shops. The remaining 55 will be spaces for various games.
In the Historic Centre, the City Council has authorised 37 street vendor stalls. In total, it is estimated that around 1,400 people will work in the attractions and facilities of the Real and in street vending during the fair days.
The fairgrounds will have 117 booths, while one will be set up in the Historic Centre. As is tradition, on the night of Friday, August 14, coinciding with the fireworks and drone shows that open the Fair, the closing hours of hospitality establishments will be extended by two more hours.
Activities for the little ones
The City Council has scheduled two children's parades in the attractions area on August 17 and 20, starting at 8:00 PM, with the aim of encouraging the presence of young audiences. Additionally, on Sunday, August 23, the 'Children's Day' will be celebrated, with reduced prices on attractions until 2:00 AM on the 24th.
The Association of Fair Entrepreneurs of Málaga and Province will install, as in previous years, waste deposit and collection elements, and toilets will be provided in the attractions area. The Operational Services have supported the setup of the fairground workers' housing area, which has been redistributed and equipped with services and security fencing.
Health and street vending control
Authorized street vendors in the Centre must carry a visible identification card. All, except those who need machines to prepare food, will be required to use facilities with a design previously approved by the City Council to standardise the aesthetics of the stalls.
The Health and Consumer Service of the City Council, along with the Local Police through the GRUPONA and the Civil Guard through the SEPRONA, will develop a special hygienic-sanitary inspection plan. About 25 daily personnel will participate in these controls, which include inspecting all vehicles accessing the Real to verify that the food and its transport meet legal conditions.
Collaboration will also be maintained with the Fishing and Aquaculture Inspection department of the Andalusian Agricultural and Fisheries Management Agency, which will control the regulatory sizes and traceability of seafood products. The booth holders where food is prepared or served have been informed about the basic food safety criteria that must be complied with.
If you come to the Málaga Fair, leave the car at home. The EMT reinforces the service with special lines connecting different neighbourhoods with the Real from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and line F will operate all night.
The public transport system will be operational throughout the fair days, facilitating access to the fairgrounds and the Historic Centre. The Málaga Fair 2026 will take place from August 14 to 23.
