The Councillor for Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development of Andalusia, Ramón Fernández-Pacheco, has begun a series of meetings with representatives of the agricultural sector. This process starts within the framework of the new legislature and aims to establish constant communication with the sector.

During his first meeting, held in Granada, Fernández-Pacheco met with the Secretary General of the Coordinator of Farmers and Ranchers Organisations of Andalusia (COAG-Andalucía), Juan Luis Ávila. The councillor highlighted the importance of maintaining an open dialogue to better understand the interests and needs of the sector.

Commitment to Dialogue

The councillor stated that the Junta de Andalucía will remain committed to continuous dialogue. This approach, according to Fernández-Pacheco, is key to addressing the concerns of the agricultural sector and working together on effective solutions.

Fernández-Pacheco also made it clear that he wishes to collaborate closely with entities like COAG to strengthen the competitiveness of the Andalusian agricultural sector in the face of future challenges.

Continuity in Joint Work

The meeting marks the beginning of what is expected to be a series of encounters that will establish a strong working relationship between the Junta de Andalucía and the stakeholders of the agricultural sector, ensuring that their needs are prioritised in the coming years.
