The Provincial Council, the City Council and Cervezas Victoria promote the celebration with concerts by El Kanka, María Peláe and Carlos Sadness, as well as workshops and a popular fair.

The Fiestas de la Victoria return to Málaga from September 3 to 6 with a programme aimed at recovering the popular spirit of this tradition. The initiative, driven by the Provincial Council, the City Council of the capital and Cervezas Victoria, will take place at four venues in the city: the bullring of La Malagueta, La Térmica, the Fábrica Victoria and the Parque de San Rafael.

The Vice President of the Provincial Council, Cristóbal Ortega, highlighted during the presentation that "we have a duty to preserve our traditions, that which shapes our identity and makes us unique as a society and as a province." For his part, the mayor Francisco de la Torre described the initiative as "a magnificent example of public-private collaboration" and stressed that "the union between institutions and the business fabric is key to strengthening our traditions."

Sergio Ragel, head of Institutional Relations at Cervezas Victoria, stated that "the Fiestas de la Victoria are born from the enthusiasm and commitment to the city that saw us grow" and expressed his desire for the event to "grow year after year."

The musical line-up includes prominent names from the national scene. On Thursday, September 3, the Fábrica Victoria will host Besmaya. On Friday, September 4, La Malagueta will feature Victorias, Alizzz Dj Set, Carlos Sadness, Sike, DJ Felipe, M.E.M.O and NUR NUR Live. On Saturday, September 5, also at La Malagueta, it will be the turn of El Kanka, María Peláe, Tabletom and Javypablo. On Sunday, September 6, the Parque de San Rafael will host a large popular fair enlivened by the Colectivo Recreo, in collaboration with the Federación Malagueña de Peñas.

In addition to music, the programme includes activities for all audiences. There will be a biznagas workshop at the Fábrica de Cervezas Victoria, a local artisan market and various actions to highlight the traditions and cultural heritage of the city. The organisers emphasise that the intention is for "the Fiestas de la Victoria to be a celebration for everyone, where the city recognises itself and where memory, popular culture and the celebrations of the people of Málaga coexist."

The official presentation took place at the Fábrica Victoria and was attended by the Vice President of the Provincial Council, Cristóbal Ortega; the mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre; the head of Institutional Relations at Cervezas Victoria, Sergio Ragel; the president of the Federación Malagueña de Peñas, Manuel Curtido; and the CEO of Doctor Watson Comunicación, Leopoldo Mérida. The event was hosted by journalist Celia Bermejo and included a video from El Kanka and a performance by the Panda de Verdiales Raíces de las Moras.

The organisers have set up the website www.fiestasdelavictoriamalaga.com to consult the full programme in detail. The Fiestas de la Victoria aspire to become a cultural reference point in the Málaga calendar, recovering the popular character of a celebration deeply linked to the identity of the city.
