Mayor Francisco de la Torre and Councillor Mar Torres participate in the event 'Public information is yours too', where the first evaluation report of the II Open Government Plan 2024-2027 is presented.
The Málaga City Council presented on Monday the first evaluation report of the II Open Government Plan for the period 2024-2027, a document that analyses the progress of the transparency and citizen participation measures implemented by the council. The presentation took place in the Assembly Hall of Module 3 of Tabacalera, during the event 'Public information is yours too', organised to commemorate the International Day for the Right to Know, which was celebrated on September 28.
In the event, the Mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre, and the Councillor for Citizen Participation, Mar Torres, spoke. Both highlighted the municipal work in the area of data openness and accountability.
The II Open Government Plan is structured around six main axes and three transversal axes, as detailed by the Citizen Participation Area. The aim of the plan is to continue advancing in participation, transparency, accountability, and open data to consolidate Málaga as a model of inclusive and participatory governance.
The event is part of the commemoration of the International Day for the Right to Know, a date that demands citizens' access to public information. The report presented will serve to evaluate the degree of compliance with the actions planned in the plan to date.
The Málaga City Council has not yet detailed the specific results of this first evaluation or the next steps that will follow from it.
