The Virgen de la Victoria Clinical University Hospital, located in Málaga, has announced an enhancement in the security of the Emergency service for the Málaga Fair 2026. This measure, which is implemented every year during the event, aims to address the healthcare needs that arise at the Cortijo de Torres fairgrounds.
Security and Care Reinforcements
During the Fair week, the hospital will increase the number of security professionals and improve access controls in Emergencies. This effort is part of the planning by the hospital management, in coordination with EULEN, the company responsible for security.
The goal is to increase the presence of guards in high-traffic areas, protecting both healthcare professionals and patients. An increase in care is anticipated due to incidents related to alcohol intoxication and trauma, typical of this celebration.
Specialised Care During the Fair
In addition to enhancing security, the number of orderlies in Emergencies will also be increased, especially during the evening and night shifts. This strategy is designed to ensure that an optimal level of care is maintained throughout the festivities, which will run from the first to the last day of the event.
The Virgen de la Victoria University Hospital wishes all Málaga residents and visitors a happy Fair, urging responsibility and civility to ensure a safe celebration.
Finally, it should be noted the close coordination of the hospital with Emergency teams, Local Police, National Police, and Civil Protection, which will have mobile units at the fairgrounds to quickly attend to any injured individuals who need to be transferred to the hospital.
