Málaga, August 11, 2026. The Metropolitan Transport Consortium of the Málaga Area has announced a reinforcement of its special services for the Málaga Fair, which will take place from August 15 to 22. This reinforcement includes the provision of over 188,000 additional places, doubling the number of places offered last year.

The territorial delegate for Housing, Youth and Land Planning, and Promotion and Mobility of Málaga, María Rosa Morales, highlighted the importance of providing comfortable and safe access to the fair for citizens of the metropolitan area. The service will be operational during those days, except for the route connecting Almogía, which will start on August 17.

New Routes and Services

This year, the Consortium is incorporating several new features that will improve connections to the Cortijo de Torres fairgrounds. One of the main additions is the new route connecting Almogía to the fair, available from August 17 to 22, which will have six daily single trips.

Additionally, several lines have been reinforced: the M-429 (Málaga Fair-Coín-Alhaurín el Grande) will have six more daily single trips, and the M-424 line (Málaga Fair-Alhaurín de la Torre-Pinos de Alhaurín) will add two trips. Furthermore, the M-426 line (Málaga Fair-Fuengirola-Las Lagunas) will have one additional daily trip during the fair.

Connectivity and Comprehensive Service

The Special Fair Services will connect the fairgrounds with 17 municipalities, including Torremolinos, Fuengirola, and Álora, among others. This will promote the use of public transport, encouraging users to leave their private vehicles at home.

The schedules and frequencies of the routes have been adapted to meet the needs of those who wish to return early as well as those who want to enjoy the fair late into the night. The use of the Consortium Card is also recommended to benefit from significant discounts during these celebration days.

Information on schedules and routes is available on the official website of the Metropolitan Transport Consortium.

Additionally, alongside the bus line offerings, the Andalusian women's helpline, 900 200 999, will be advertised, promoting the fight against and prevention of gender violence under the slogan 'There is a lot of life behind a call'.
