The Junta of Andalusia has announced the opening of a new | aid call amounting to 6.6 million euros to boost the marketing and transformation of fishing and aquaculture products in Málaga.
This initiative is aimed at fishing guilds, their federations, and other public entities. The new call includes 15,000 euros additional to facilitate the promotion of fishing and aquaculture products, which adds to an increase of 30,000 euros published on 31 July.
Increase in budget and promotion campaigns
With these new funds, the aid line reaches a total budget of 6,585,000 euros, which will allow for the full coverage of applications submitted for promotion campaigns, which increase from 70,000 to 85,000 euros.
The main objective is to finance campaigns that promote fishing and aquaculture products, thus contributing to the development of the sector in the region. Additionally, two million euros have been allocated for investments in 2026 and 4.5 million euros for investments in 2027.
Boosting the competitiveness of the sector
These aids are part of the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF) 2021-2027, and aim to strengthen the competitiveness of the Andalusian fishing and aquaculture sector. It is expected that the injection of resources will benefit both the promotion of their products and investments aimed at improving their marketing and transformation.
With these actions, the Junta of Andalusia reaffirms its commitment to sustainable development and improving competitiveness in a key sector for the local economy.
