Aena expects 2,507 landings and take-offs between Friday and Monday, a 4.6% increase from last year. Friday will be the busiest day, with 647 movements.

The final stretch of August will bring intense activity at the Málaga Airport. Between Friday 28 and Monday 31, airlines have scheduled 2,507 landings and take-offs, according to data provided by Aena, which represents a 4.6% increase in operations compared to the same period last year.

The bulk of the traffic corresponds to international connections: 2,033 flights will have origins or destinations outside Spain, highlighting the importance of foreign tourism in the Málaga destination. The remainder, 474 movements, will be domestic.

The busiest day will be Friday, with 647 operations expected. This will be followed by Sunday 30, with 642, while Saturday will drop to 605 and Monday will close the bank holiday with 613.

The infrastructure maintains direct connections to 164 destinations worldwide through 67 airlines, according to Aena. Most of the travellers passing through Málaga's terminals during these days are holidaymakers returning to their home countries after their vacations, along with those starting their days off in September.

For local residents, the increase in operations may translate into more traffic accessing the airport and a greater flow of passengers during peak hours, especially on Friday afternoon and Sunday. Aena recommends arriving early and checking flight status on their website.
