The Málaga municipality of Nerja will celebrate the XXIV Flamenco Singing Competition of Peña La Soleá from September 5 to October 3, featuring four qualifying rounds and a grand final.

Nerja's cultural calendar once again has a significant date with flamenco. The Peña Flamenca La Soleá is organising the XXIV edition of its Flamenco Singing Competition, in collaboration with the Council of Culture of the Nerja Town Hall.

The competition will kick off with four qualifying days, scheduled for Saturdays September 5, 12, 19, and 26. During these, participants will showcase their interpretation and mastery of the various styles of flamenco before the audience and the jury.

The Grand Final will take place on Saturday, October 3. That night, the finalists will compete for the first prize of this edition, in an evening expected to gather fans and locals.

The Councillor for Culture, Ana María Muñoz, has emphasised the importance of continuing to support initiatives like this competition, which help to promote flamenco and foster new talents. She also praised the work of the Peña throughout the year, which has made it a cultural reference in the locality.

The Town Hall and Peña La Soleá invite locals, fans, and visitors to attend the various rounds and the final, to support the singers and enjoy nights dedicated to the art of flamenco.
