Costa del Sol University Hospital (HUCS), located in Marbella, has scheduled a day titled ‘Innovation Applied to Infection Prevention: From Idea to Health Impact’. The event will take place on September 25 at the Green Ray Building of the Technological Park of Andalucía at the University of Málaga.
Event Details
Aimed at healthcare professionals, researchers, and anyone interested in the latest innovations for preventing healthcare-associated infections, the day seeks to share advancements in this field and their impact on clinical practice. This activity is part of the European project ASEPHAI, which is developing an intelligent disinfection system based on Far-UVC technology.
The disinfection system uses far ultraviolet light, a technology specifically designed to inactivate pathogens, with the aim of preventing infections in critically ill patients, particularly those related to catheter use. The project aims to complement current prevention strategies, thereby improving patient safety and the quality of care.
Experts and Topics
The day will feature participation from national and international experts who will present the development process of health innovations, from identifying clinical needs to implementing new technologies.
The programme will include talks on the development of technologies to prevent infections, the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare, environmental biosafety, and emerging solutions applicable in clinical practice and public health. This meeting represents a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge and innovative experiences.
