The union denounces the lack of staff and the high ratio of counsellors, with 800 to 1,000 students per professional, and asks the Junta for more budget and labour homologation for non-compulsory education.
The conservatories, language schools, adult centres, and educational guidance teams in Málaga continue to lack the attention they need. This was reported on Friday by CCOO Enseñanza Málaga, which has called on the Junta de Andalucía for an increase in staff, the homologation of labour rights, and urgent measures to address diversity in these centres, as reported by Diario Sur.
The union has focused on the situation of the Educational Guidance Teams, where the average ratio is 800 to 1,000 students per counsellor and each professional attends between three and four centres a week. For CCOO, this workload makes comprehensive psycho-pedagogical support impossible, hence they demand a maximum of 250 students per professional.

The campaign “The Forgotten Centres” encompasses Music and Dance Conservatories, Art Schools, Higher Schools of Design, Official Language Schools, Centres and Sections of Permanent Education, School Residences, and Educational Guidance Teams. All share demands such as increased resources for diversity support, regulatory updates with a curriculum adapted to current reality, and measures for reduced hours, teleworking, and improved conditions for staff over 55 years old.
Among the demands are also a greater budget allocation for technical materials, professional compatibility, transparency in the management of these centres, specific training for teachers in Training Centres, structural health measures with recognition of occupational diseases, positions in selection procedures that guarantee the stability of long-serving interim staff, and salary equalisation with group A1.
