The Rincón de la Victoria Town Hall is seeking the official image for its Manga and Alternative Culture Fair. Young people aged 14 to 30 from across the province can participate.

The Youth Department of Rincón de la Victoria has opened the submission period for the first edition of the drawing competition that will choose the promotional poster for the RincónGo! 2026 Manga and Alternative Culture Fair. Works will be accepted until October 2.

The contest is aimed at young people aged 14 to 30 residing in the province of Málaga. Minors must attach a signed authorization from parents or legal guardians.

The Youth Councillor, Nacho Cuadra, has encouraged participation and stated that the competition aims for young people to “contribute their talent and creativity to the image of this edition and feel like protagonists of an event that is already a reference for them.” Meanwhile, the mayor, Francisco Salado, has defended the need to “offer leisure and cultural alternatives that adapt to the interests of young people.”

This initiative is part of the project “Young Universe: participation, creativity and alternative culture”, funded by the Andalusian Youth Institute.

Works using traditional techniques such as pencil, marker, watercolour, wax, tempera, ink, or mixed techniques will be accepted. Those created wholly or partially with artificial intelligence, traced or copied drawings, and images downloaded from the internet are excluded. Digital manipulations are also not allowed except for technical adjustments of digitization.

The works must address the theme of the event: manga and anime, video games, Japanese, Korean or Asian culture, cosplay, board and card games, technology, fantasy and alternative culture, as well as include recognizable elements of Rincón de la Victoria.

The first prize includes a trophy, diploma, a gift voucher, the use of the work as the main image of the event, an invitation to the presentation event and to RincónGo! 2026, and a gift pack valued at 50 euros. There are also two additional prizes with a trophy, diploma, and gift voucher.

Each participant may submit only one original and unpublished work. It must be sent to the email address provided by the Town Hall in PDF, JPG, or PNG format, named only with a slogan or code. In a separate file, with the same slogan and the word “Plica”, the author’s details must be included.

The complete rules are available on the Rincón de la Victoria Town Hall website.
