The Axarquía municipality has unveiled the official image of its most emblematic cultural event, created by local resident Pablo Ortiz Bueno. The festival will take place from August 27 to 30 with music, an artisan market, and the traditional Tapas Route.
The Frigiliana Town Hall has presented the poster for the nineteenth edition of the Festival 3 Culturas, which will be held from August 27 to 30. The image, created by local resident Pablo Ortiz Bueno, features the bunting that decorates the streets of the historic centre each summer, which has become a symbol of the event.
According to municipal sources, the design reflects the essence of a festival born to celebrate coexistence among Christian, Muslim, and Jewish cultures, a hallmark that has made the Festival 3 Culturas one of the most significant cultural and tourist events in the province of Málaga.
This edition's programme will include an artisan market, parades, conferences, children's activities, workshops, cinema, storytelling, and a pyromusical show. Additionally, the already classic Tapas Route will feature 16 establishments from the municipality.
In the musical section, the first confirmed names are Festicultores, Los Aslándticos, Shabu, Aborígena, and La Vinilo and Los 4 Fantásticos. However, the organisation is still keeping the main headliner under wraps, which will be announced in the coming days. The Town Hall has indicated that it is a "very special" artist, linked to the festival's roots and who "will not leave anyone indifferent".
Frigiliana is thus finalising preparations to once again become, for four days, a meeting point where culture, music, gastronomy, and coexistence will take centre stage. The festival, which began in 2008, attracts thousands of visitors each year and has established itself as an unmissable event in the summer calendar of the Axarquía.
Residents and tourists who visit the municipality during these dates will be able to enjoy a festive atmosphere that permeates the entire historic centre, with streets adorned with the bunting that inspired this year's poster. The Tapas Route, with 16 participating establishments, will allow visitors to taste local cuisine at popular prices.
The organisation recommends checking the Town Hall's website for the complete programme once the final musical poster is revealed. Tickets for concerts and activities will be on sale soon, although some offerings, such as the parades and the artisan market, will be free to access.
