The State Meteorological Agency has activated a yellow warning for high temperatures in the Antequera region, with highs reaching 38 degrees. The humidity and haze will continue in the province until Monday.
The province of Málaga will continue to suffer from intense heat at least until Monday, with skies covered by low clouds and suspended dust increasing the feeling of discomfort. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated a yellow warning for high temperatures in the Antequera region between 1:00 PM and 9:00 PM this Saturday, where thermometers will reach 38 degrees.
The situation will persist throughout the weekend across Andalusia, with active warnings in six other provinces and highs that could exceed 40 degrees in some areas. Along the Málaga coastline, relative humidity has hovered around 95%, making the heat feel particularly unpleasant.
According to Diario Sur, meteorologist José Luis Escudero notes in his blog 'Tormentas y rayos' that this situation could last until Monday. “From Tuesday afternoon, it would begin to gradually ease, and with greater certainty on Wednesday, when the wind would shift to a westerly component,” he details. This change in wind could favour the appearance of the terral in the usual areas of the province.
Additionally, in the Cádiz coastline and the Strait, easterly winds of between 50 and 61 kilometres per hour (force 7) are expected, especially offshore, west of Tarifa and south of Trafalgar, starting at 8:00 PM today.
