Temperatures will remain between 26 and 27 degrees during the day and 19-20 at night, values above the average for October. The easterly wind generates a swell along the Málaga coastline.
The first weekend of October arrives in the province of Málaga with temperatures typical of late summer. Thermometers will register between 26 and 27 degrees during the day, and the minimums will settle at 19 or 20 degrees, according to forecasts from meteorologist José Luis Escudero, reported by Diario Sur. In the interior, a clear drop in heat is not expected either.
The recently concluded month of September is set to be, pending confirmation from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), the third or fourth hottest in the historical series. The average temperature for the month will hover around 25.2 degrees, according to Escudero's calculations.
“The heat and high relative humidity persist, so we will have to endure the stickiness and sweat for a few more days”
For those thinking of taking their last swims along the Málaga coastline, the forecast is not favourable: the swell will return, the term used by fishermen to describe the swell or wave action generated offshore in the Alboran Sea by the easterly wind.
“This situation is great for surfers, but the downside is that if there are large waves, we won’t be able to swim”
As for rainfall, uncertainty remains regarding the possible arrival of a dana that could bring precipitation to the area. This possibility is deemed more likely for the beginning of next week, although the scenario may change in the coming hours and either advance or delay.
