The La Quinta Sports Centre in Antequera completes its improvement works with an investment of nearly one million euros and faces its official reopening on October 5. The Andalusian Padel Federation, the new concessionaire, moves its headquarters to the municipality.

The La Quinta Sports Centre in Antequera has completed the renovation and conditioning of its facilities following an investment of nearly one million euros. The full reopening is scheduled for October 5, according to the Antequera City Council.

The mayor, Manolo Barón, the deputy mayor for Sports and Contracting, Juan Rosas, and the deputy mayor for Works and Maintenance, Teresa Molina, visited the complex this week along with the president of the Andalusian Padel Federation, José Pérez. The federation is the new concessionaire of the centre and has moved its headquarters to Antequera, where it has been established since May.

The intervention has completely renewed the padel areas. The walls of four courts were demolished to replace them with glass enclosures, and the central court was reconfigured to create a panoramic court. In total, the centre will have 14 padel courts for school and direct rental.

The gym equipment has also been completely renewed, which will be brand new, and the spinning room. Outside, a Cubo Fit module has been installed for outdoor training. Additionally, improvement works have been carried out on the drainage and other infrastructures of the facility.

The reopening will be staggered during the first days of October. The bar, restaurant, and café service will open on October 1 under the management of Il Bambino Biondo. The first padel tournament of this phase, the Regional Phase of the Absolute Andalusian League, will take place on October 3. The official and complete opening of the centre will be on October 5.

The pre-registration period is already open for the gym and for padel activities, both in school mode and for court rental. Attention is provided from Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 18:00 to 20:00 hours.
