The Tourism Area of the Antequera City Council was present at the ninth edition of NATURCYL, the ecotourism fair that took place from September 25 to 27 at the Royal Site of San Ildefonso, in the province of Segovia. The Deputy Mayor for Tourism, Commerce and World Heritage, Ana Cebrián, reported on this promotional action through which the municipality highlighted its appeal as a destination linked to natural heritage and sustainable tourism.
The main focus of Antequera's participation was the Professional Meeting for Nature Tourism Marketing, held on Friday, September 25, and organized by the Junta de Castilla y León. This is a networking space for destinations, companies, and professionals in the sector, designed to exchange experiences and explore promotional and marketing opportunities.
Participation in this forum has helped to enhance the visibility of Antequera's tourism offerings to specialized professionals, showcasing the municipality's potential for enjoying experiences in contact with nature, complemented by its cultural heritage, gastronomy, and tourism services.
This initiative is part of the Andalusia Tourism and Sports Action Plan 2026 and the Andalusian participation in NATURCYL, which featured an exhibition space of 18 square meters located in the Ecotourism Module.
Under the slogan “Living Territories: the rural world as a guardian of nature,” this ninth edition emphasized the relationship between ecosystem conservation and the vitality of rural communities, advocating for the role of the people who inhabit, manage, and work these territories in protecting natural heritage and the sustainable development of destinations.
NATURCYL combines its professional aspect with a programme aimed at the general public, allowing participating destinations to present their proposals to both the tourism sector and potential visitors interested in ecotourism and rural areas.
With this presence, the Tourism Area of the Antequera City Council continues to develop actions to expand the municipality's projection in specialized markets and foster new opportunities for the local tourism sector, with nature and heritage as key elements of its offerings.
