The alert to 112 was made around 14:00, reporting the possible death of the woman at a home. Officers located the body with stab wounds. Hours earlier, at 11:50, a man had fallen from the wall of the Alcazaba of Antequera. Sources consulted indicate that they were a couple and had two children together, aged 4 and 7.
VioGen and Restraining Order
According to initial investigations, both the victim and the alleged aggressor were registered in the VioGen system, which monitors cases of gender violence. He had a restraining order against her, but both parties recently agreed to close the case, so the order had lapsed. The Government Sub-delegation in Málaga has reported that it is gathering data to send to the Government Delegation against Gender Violence, which will determine if it is confirmed as gender-based violence.
If confirmed, this would be the fourth violent death of a woman in the province of Málaga this year. On July 1, a 35-year-old woman from Málaga was found dead in a well in Rincón de la Victoria; her ex-partner confessed to the crime. A week later, a 61-year-old woman and her 31-year-old daughter were found dead in Mijas, allegedly stabbed by the mother's boyfriend.

If this case is confirmed as a gender-based murder, there would be 30 female victims of gender violence in Spain this year, and 1,371 since 2003. In Andalusia, this would be the ninth victim in 2026. The Government Delegation against Gender Violence will be responsible for ratifying the case.
