A car has crashed into a hotel in Mijas Pueblo after veering off Avenida Méjico. The driver has been injured with a possible humerus fracture.
A car ended up embedded against a hotel establishment in Mijas Pueblo on the eve of the start of its Fair. The accident occurred on Avenida Méjico, a street with a steep incline where the vehicle was travelling downhill and, for reasons still unknown, veered off to the side and fell into the grounds of the TRH Mijas hotel, located on a lower level on Calle Tamisa.
According to Diario Sur, the accident resulted in only one injury: the driver, who was evacuated by ambulance with a possible humerus fracture. The vehicle fell into a small courtyard of the hotel next to a porch, an area with rooms, but at the time of the incident, there was no one there, so there are no other injuries.
Local Police and Mijas Firefighters, along with medical services, attended the scene. The car was reportedly a rental vehicle registered just a few months ago.
