The reggaeton artist Yandel will perform on July 18 at Starlite Occident Marbella with a symphonic format that reinvents his greatest hits. Tickets are nearly sold out.

The Puerto Rican singer Yandel has chosen the Nagüeles quarry in Marbella to present his revolutionary show 'Yandel Sinfónico' on July 18, a format that fuses reggaeton rhythms with orchestral arrangements. The concert, which will start at 20:00, is part of the Starlite Occident programme, the festival that turns the Costa del Sol into a musical epicentre every summer.

Yandel, considered one of the most influential artists in the urban genre, has built a career spanning over two decades. First as part of the duo Wisin & Yandel and later as a solo artist, he has accumulated hits that now take on new life in this symphonic format. The proposal promises to surprise both the most loyal fans and classical music lovers who attend the venue.

A Reinvented Repertoire with Orchestra

The audience will be able to listen to renewed versions of songs that marked an entire generation, such as 'Rakata', 'Noche de Entierro', or the more recent 'Yandel 150'. The orchestral arrangements provide a distinct sound dimension without losing the urban essence that characterises the artist.

The combination of Latin rhythms, string and wind instruments, and a carefully crafted audiovisual production turns the performance into a unique experience. According to the organisers, the show will feature a technical display with state-of-the-art lighting and a staging designed to enhance every detail.

Starlite Occident: The Perfect Stage for the Occasion

The Starlite Occident festival, held in the Nagüeles quarry, is known for its natural acoustics and intimate format. For Yandel, performing in this setting is both a challenge and an opportunity. The venue's acoustics, privileged by its geological configuration, allow the orchestra's notes to be heard with special clarity, something the organisers have wanted to highlight.

Attendees will arrive from various parts of Spain and abroad, drawn by the festival's lineup. Tickets, which can be purchased on the official Starlite website, are very close to selling out, reflecting the anticipation this event has generated.

An Evening That Will Mark the Summer on the Costa del Sol

For the residents of Marbella and the Costa del Sol, Yandel's concert represents an opportunity to enjoy a top-level show without leaving the province. Doors will open at the usual time, allowing the audience to explore the venue and enjoy the Starlite experience before the concert.

The event on July 18 aims to become one of the highlights of the 2026 festival edition. Yandel, who has known how to reinvent himself throughout his career, once again demonstrates that reggaeton can also sound symphonic without losing its essence. Who knows if one day we will see other artists from the genre daring to do something similar; for now, Marbella takes the prize.
