The Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) in Marbella has already sold 65% of the capacity at La Concepción estate for its gala on August 1, with 400 covers reserved. The goal is to exceed 600 guests.

The charity gala of the AECC in Marbella, one of the most anticipated charitable events of the summer on the Costa del Sol, is nearing the final stages of its organisation with a sales pace that invites optimism. Two weeks before the celebration, scheduled for August 1 at La Concepción estate, the association has already secured 32 corporate tables, equivalent to about 400 covers. This represents 65% of the available capacity, and the organisation is confident of reaching 600 attendees, thereby surpassing last year's figures.

Over 300 prizes in the raffle and an auction featuring luxury items

The evening will feature a charity raffle offering over 300 prizes, and an auction highlighting items such as a shirt signed by Kylian Mbappé, a package from Atlético de Madrid including a stadium visit, two tickets and two shirts, or a weekend in Budapest for two people at a five-star hotel with flights included. Dinner invitations and hotel nights at establishments on the Costa del Sol will also be auctioned.

The musical section will be led by the group Vintage Experience, international classical music singer Olga Filippova, the group Efecto Mariposa, and DJ Kike Supermix, who will provide the final touch to the party. The combination of styles promises to entertain attendees well into the early hours.

'The Fighter' award for Borja Sémper and recognition of local efforts

During the gala, the AECC will present the 'The Fighter' award to politician Borja Sémper for his contribution to normalising cancer and for giving visibility to those fighting the disease from anonymity. The president of the AECC in Marbella, Santiago Gómez-Villares, highlighted that "his testimony and example have significantly contributed to breaking stigmas, showing the reality of the disease, and giving hope to those going through a similar situation".

The proceeds from the gala will be entirely allocated to oncological research and the free services that the AECC provides in Marbella. In the past year, the association has supported nearly 470 people and 135 families with psychological, social, and oncological physiotherapy assistance. Gómez-Villares emphasised that "behind each ticket, each reserved table, and each collaborating company, there is a real commitment to patients and their families".

For those interested in attending, there are still tables available. Individual and corporate tickets can be purchased through the AECC Marbella website or at the association's headquarters. The event is on August 1 at La Concepción estate, a venue that dresses up every year to fight against cancer.
