Soprano Montserrat Martí Caballé, daughter of the legendary Montserrat Caballé, and baritone Luis Santana will offer a recital of opera and zarzuela on Friday, July 17, at the Auditorio Pernía Calderón in Marbella.

The Costa del Sol is preparing for a date with top-level lyricism. Next Friday, July 17, at 22:00 hours, the Auditorio Pernía Calderón, in the Parque de la Constitución in Marbella, will host the recital “Noches de Ópera y Zarzuela”, an event that promises to transport the audience to the grand stages of bel canto.

A luxury lineup for a magical night

The evening will feature soprano Montserrat Martí Caballé, daughter of the unforgettable Montserrat Caballé and one of the most recognised voices in the Spanish lyrical scene. Alongside her, the prestigious baritone from Zamora Luis Santana and pianist Víctor Carbajo complete an exceptional trio. Together they will perform a programme that includes excerpts from La Traviata and works by composers such as Donizetti, Rossini, Mozart, Falla, and Serrano, among others.

The recital, lasting approximately 90 minutes, is designed for an adult audience and will take place in an outdoor space that combines the beauty of the natural surroundings with the acoustics of an emblematic auditorium.

“The combination of great voices, a repertoire full of emotion, and the beauty of the setting makes this recital a must-attend event,” the organisers state.

Tickets and prices to enjoy lyricism in Marbella

Tickets for this event are priced at a flat rate of 25 euros and can be purchased in advance through the platform www.mientrada.net. They will also be available at the box office of the Auditorio Pernía Calderón, from Wednesday to Saturday, from 19:00 to 22:00 hours.

For lovers of classical music and zarzuela, this is a unique opportunity to enjoy an evening under the stars in one of the most unique spots on the Costa del Sol. The Parque de la Constitución, with its open-air auditorium, thus becomes the perfect setting for a night that promises to be magical.

The organisation, led by Producciones Lastra, has taken care of every detail to immerse the audience in the passion and elegance of the great lyrical tradition. It is no small feat: with a soprano bearing the Caballé surname and a baritone of established career, the evening has all the ingredients to be unforgettable.

A cultural event in the height of summer

Marbella thus strengthens its summer cultural offering with an event that appeals to both residents and tourists who are currently filling the Costa del Sol. Lyrical performances, often reserved for grand theatres, come closer to the public in an accessible outdoor format, with an affordable price of 25 euros. An opportunity to discover or rediscover opera and zarzuela in a privileged setting.

For those who still have no plans for Friday, July 17, this could be the perfect excuse for a cultural getaway. And as the saying goes, music tames the wild beasts; and if it’s in Marbella with such a lineup, even better. All that remains is to hope for good weather and for the voices of Martí Caballé and Santana to resonate with the strength of the great masters.
