The Catalan goalkeeper Arnau Tenas is already in Marbella to join Real Mallorca. The keeper arrived this Saturday at the team's training hotel after finalising his signing from Villarreal.

Goalkeeper Arnau Tenas is now in Marbella. The Catalan goalkeeper landed this Saturday on the Costa del Sol to join the Real Mallorca training camp, which is preparing for the upcoming season at the Bakour Oh Nice Costa del Sol hotel. The transfer, which was pending a few minor details, has been completed in recent hours after the Bermellón club reached a preliminary agreement with Villarreal.

"I am very happy, eager to see my teammates, to train and to achieve beautiful things," Tenas declared upon his arrival at the Marbella establishment. The goalkeeper from Vic expressed his excitement about this new stage and highlighted the role of coach Luis García in his decision. "It was about feelings, sentiment, feeling and eagerness. And the coach was key. He helped me a lot to make the decision, in a 5-minute call," he assured.

The operation has been developed over the past week, with good synergy between both entities. Mallorca's Football CEO, Pablo Ortells, travelled to Castellón last Tuesday to negotiate the transfer face to face. Finally, the agreement was closed this Friday, and Tenas was able to join the group in Marbella this very weekend.

The goalkeeper arrives to fill the position left by Leo Román, who left Mallorca after his nine-million-euro release clause was executed to sign for Deportivo de la Coruña. Tenas, 24, played ten matches in the First Division last season with Villarreal, where he was a substitute for Luiz Júnior. He joined the groguet team from Paris Saint-Germain for 2.5 million euros and signed a contract until 2029.

Tenas's salary is high, but Villarreal has agreed to take on a significant part of the wage to facilitate his departure. The Catalan goalkeeper has expressed gratitude for the efforts of both clubs and is already working under Luis García during the Marbella training camp, which will continue over the coming days.

The arrival of Tenas strengthens Mallorca's goalkeeping position, which aims to establish itself in the First Division after an irregular season. Oviedo coach Luis García has been key in the operation, convincing the player that the Balearic project was the right one for his growth. Tenas, who trained in Barcelona's youth academy, hopes to have more prominence in his new team.

The training camp in Marbella, on the Costa del Sol, allows Mallorca to conduct pre-season in a privileged environment. The Bermellón team will play several friendly matches during their stay in the province of Málaga, aiming to be ready for the start of the League.
