Residents of Fuengirola have until August 20 to pay the IBI, vehicle tax, and waste fee during the voluntary period and benefit from a 30% discount.

The Councillor for Finance of Fuengirola, Rosa Ana Bravo, reminded this Thursday that the voluntary tax payment period ends on August 20. Until that date, taxpayers registered in the locality can benefit from a 30% discount on the receipts for the Property Tax (IBI), the Tax on Mechanical Traction Vehicles (ITVM), and the waste fee.

Bravo emphasised the importance of residents verifying that they have no outstanding debts with the administration and that they are up to date with the payment of the first instalment during the voluntary period. “It is very important for taxpayers to check that they have no debts with the Administration, pay the first instalment during the voluntary period, and be registered in Fuengirola to benefit from this tax advantage,” explained the councillor.

The Town Hall has already issued all receipts via direct debit, an option that the councillor has described as “the most advantageous,” as in addition to the 30% discount for early payment, those who pay by direct debit receive an additional 5% discount.

For those who have not yet formalised the payment, the Fuengirola Town Hall has set up several options. Payments can be made online through the municipal Electronic Headquarters, the town hall's website, or via the Paypal platform. It is also possible to pay in person at the Town Hall's Collection Department, at the citizen ATMs located in the local councils of Los Boliches and El Boquetillo, at the Town Hall itself, as well as at the Post Office offices.

Rosa Ana Bravo has reminded that the offices of the Collection Area remain open to address any inquiries. Residents can contact the email recavoluntaria@fuengirola.org or call 952589300 to resolve any doubts.

This tax payment campaign affects all property and vehicle owners in Fuengirola, as well as those liable for the waste fee. The 30% discount represents a significant saving for household budgets, so the Town Hall encourages taxpayers to take advantage of the deadline.

Late payment incurs surcharges and interest, so it is advisable to meet the deadline of August 20. Those opting for direct debit are already guaranteed the additional 5% discount, but they must ensure that the receipt has been charged correctly.
