The Youth Area of Fuengirola is organising a new edition of the paddle surf workshop on August 4 and 5 at Carvajal beach. Registrations open on July 22 at 20:00 through the Citizen Card.

Paddle surf will once again be the highlight of the summer in Fuengirola. The Youth Area of the City Council has launched a new edition of the workshop, which will take place on August 4 and 5 at Carvajal beach, with limited places and a fee of 5 euros per participant.

The activity, which was very well received in previous editions, is aimed at young people aged between 14 and 35, divided into two age groups. The first day, August 4, will be for those aged 18 to 35, and the second day will be for those aged 14 to 17, both from 19:30 to 21:30.

Registrations from July 22

Registrations can be formalised from 20:00 on July 22 through the Citizen Card, the digital system of the City Council. The Youth Councillor, Isaac Vargas, has indicated that high demand is expected, so he recommends completing the process quickly.

“The first edition was very well received and many people missed out on a spot,” Vargas recalled. “We wanted to provide another opportunity for more young people to enjoy this activity in a privileged setting like Carvajal beach.”

“We want to continue offering healthy and quality leisure proposals for our young people. We are convinced that this new call will be a success again.”

Outdoor sport at sunset

Paddle surf combines physical exercise, fun, and contact with the sea, and the evening schedule will allow participants to enjoy the sunset on the Fuengirola coast. The activity will take place at Carvajal beach, one of the most emblematic beaches in the municipality, with calm waters ideal for practising this sport.

The Youth Department highlights that this is a healthy leisure proposal that promotes outdoor physical activity and socialisation among young people. Each session will have limited places, so it is recommended to secure registration as soon as possible.

For young people from Fuengirola, this is an opportunity to try a water sport without the need for their own equipment, as the workshop includes the necessary materials. Additionally, the symbolic price of 5 euros makes it accessible for all budgets.

Fuengirola thus strengthens its offer of summer activities for youth, in a summer where the City Council has opted for varied programmes ranging from water sports to cultural workshops. The success of previous editions of the paddle surf workshop has led the City Council to repeat the experience, with the expectation of filling the available spots again.
