The Fuengirola City Council has reinforced cleaning around educational centres to ensure they are in perfect condition when students return to classrooms on September 10.

The City Council of Fuengirola has intensified cleaning efforts around the city's schools in recent days, aiming for the centres and their outdoor spaces to be in the best condition for students' return to classrooms on September 10.

The Councillor for Cleaning, Carmen Díaz, informed on Tuesday about these actions during a visit to the vicinity of Acapulco School, where work was being carried out today. The councillor explained that this is the final phase of preparing the centres after the works and actions carried out during July and August.

“One of the most important tasks to ensure that the schools are completed, once works have been done and the educational centre has been prepared during July and August, is the cleaning of both the interior areas and the patios and the outdoor areas of the centres, that is, the entrance pavement,” she stated.

The work is now focusing on the patios and access pavements, where disc cleaning is being applied. According to Díaz, the interior areas of the schools are practically finished, and municipal coordination is allowing progress on the exteriors during the ten days remaining before the start of term.

The cleaning of the patios is also being carried out at Secondary and Baccalaureate centres, thus fulfilling the commitment that Fuengirola's mayor, Ana Mula, made with the directors of the city's educational centres. With these actions, the City Council aims to ensure that the schools are “in perfect condition for the arrival of children on September 10,” the councillor stated.
